| The above model
is intended to convey the fact that the total commitment of, for
example,
the Program Faculty and Staff to the Program Goals and Objectives
brings
the Faculty and Staff itself en rapport through the broken
lines
(a), (b), or (c) with the Harmonious Relationship existing between the
other groups: Administration, Faculty and Staff, and Student Body. It
is
the General atmosphere in which the Faculty operates that benefits. If
we replace "Faculty and Staff" in the diagram with the Program in its
entirety
— then "Administration" in the model becomes the University Authorities
from the President's Office down, and the entire Student Body on campus
replaces that of the "Student Body." The "Program Goals and Objectives"
must then embrace the purpose for which the University was founded, and
the Program's commitment and contribution to the mission of the
University.
This must not be overlooked. |
