the Issues in Archive I: All News Quarterly issues – past and current – have been converted to Portable Document Files with a .PDF extension. This will allow you to view News Quarterly Online issues in a format that looks exactly like you receive them in the mail. If you already have a version of Adobe Acrobat Reader on your PC, you will be able to open these issues without much difficulty. If not, you will need to download a FREE copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 to read these issues. Once that is done, all you need do is double click on the News Quarterly issue you wish to read. A full-page view of the selected issue should appear on your monitor screen. If that doesn't happen, select the issue again. This time, when a menu appears, select "Save it as" and store the issue in a place (preferabley a folder) where you will be able to find it later. Now return to Acrobat Reader, click on "Open," go to folder where you stored the News Quarterly issues. Click on the issue you want to open. Eureka! The News Quarterly issue you selected is now before you! Some files in this Archive are large, averaging 1284KB each; therefore, using a 56K modem, they will open slowly – taking a minute or more. So be patient!  |
